Goro Ito, a bossa nova guitarist/composer in the direct lineage of João Gilberto, who has also worked on film and TV animation music, as a bossa nova duo naomi & goro, and as a producer for Tomoyo Harada, has released an album under the name “Ito Goro Ensemble” in tribute to João Gilberto, who celebrated his 90th birthday this year. It is a tribute album to João Gilberto, who celebrated the 90th anniversary of his birth this year, released by Goro Ito under the name of “Ito Goro Ensemble. The arrangements were explored and newly orchestrated by Goro Ito. The orchestral ensemble performs the newly written suite “Amorosofia” (two versions with different orchestrations are included) and other well-known numbers from João’s repertoire.
