Jazz is more enjoyable when listened to with good sound–this is the 13th year of a compilation that aims to conduct that conduction. Recently, Yasukuni Terashima has been revealing in various media that his preference has shifted from a retro-fidelity sound full of bass and cymbal energy to a sound field type sound in which the positional relationship of each instrument can be “seen”. He is now proposing a listening method that “sees the sound” of each instrument (piano, bass, and drums). This year’s selection of music in this series, which advocates “listening to jazz by sound,” is attracting a lot of attention.
