[Alisa Weilerstein was discovered by conductor Barenboim and signed with Decca in 2010. This second release is Dvorak’s Cello Concerto, the bible for cellists. Accompanied by the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Bělohlávek, who is also a Dvořák specialist, the performance is dynamic and expressive. The coupling includes arrangements of Dvořák songs and other pieces with piano accompaniment.
