[Crossover & Fusion 1000] The new “Crossover & Fusion 1000” series is a spin-off of the highly successful “Jazz Collection 1000” series launched in 2014. Like the Jazz Collection 1000 series, the new “Crossover & Fusion 1000” series is carefully selected from Sony Music’s extensive catalog, focusing on Columbia and RCA, the two major labels in the United States. The 100 titles (Volume 1: 50 titles released on April 27, Volume 2: 50 titles released on May 25) are released at the special price of 1,000 yen plus tax (1,500 yen plus tax for the 2-disc set). The first leader album by Alfonso Johnson, the second generation bassist of Weather Report (Jaco Pastorius’ predecessor), who is also known for his collaboration with Santana and Phil Collins.
