This is the first solo piano collection by Amsterdam-based pianist Atsuko Kobashi, recorded in 2014 at the Muziekcentrum van de Omroep (formerly VARA Studios) in Hilversum, the Netherlands. A series of Obashi’s beloved pieces, such as Mal Waldron’s Soul Eyes and Thelonious Monk’s Bannonica, are performed one after another with her unique taste.
