At last, the complete collection is completed! Elischka & Fuda Symphony Orchestra, the irreplaceable Brahms at his best. A delightful set, No. 3 newly remastered! The project of performing the complete Brahms symphonies by the renowned conductor Elischka and the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra from 2013 to 2017 is an irreplaceable record of the depth of the relationship between the two. Although there are numbered CDs with couplings for each, we are pleased to announce the release of a three-CD set of only the four symphonies to celebrate the completion of the complete cycle. Due to health reasons, Elischka was forced to make his last visit to Japan in October 2017 for a subscription concert with the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra. This monumental set is filled with the splendor of the duo’s performances, which can now only be experienced on the remaining recordings. The powerful, yet precise and beautiful string music is superb, and of unparalleled value compared to the complete Brahms cycle of the past and present. The sound of Brahms No. 3 has been reworked and newly re-mastered.This is the best complete Brahms cycle that even the most seasoned Brahms enthusiast should own! <Radomir Elischka(1931-) is the Principal Guest Conductor of the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra.
