The Carpenters, a brother-sister pop duo, achieved worldwide success with their unique sound style in the Western music scene. Even after the death of lead vocalist Karen Carpenter more than 30 years ago, their works are still strongly supported as eternal masterpieces. To promote their second album “The Carpenters” released in 1971, the Carpenters appeared on ABC’s popular music program “In Concert” in New York City, which was also broadcast on its affiliate FM station WABC. This time, the master tape for the radio broadcast was remastered and released on CD for the first time with the best sound quality available at this time. This is a rare live studio archive of the early Carpenters, featuring 10 of their hit songs at this point in their career. Seven additional bonus tracks include archive of live studio performances on Dutch and Belgian TV stations. Imported domestic edition with bilingual English booklet.
