This is the fifth album by Colleen, the solo project of French female multi-instrumentalist Cecile Scott. While she has been based on samples and loops in the past, this album takes her to a new, more fantastical level, making full use of the ancient instrument treble viola da gamba and her own voice. This is a piece that incorporates dub-inspired techniques and sublimates it into otherworldly pop music. (C)RS
