One of the original crossover/thrash bands, Corrosion of Conformity (C.O.C.), has released their early work on CD! This work was released as an EP in 1987. The trio formation seemed to continue to be stable after their breakthrough with the previous album “Animosity,” but they went back to a four-piece formation with Simon Bob, formerly of the Ugly Americans, as the singer. The production was clearer and the sound more metal-tinged than on the previous album, symbolizing the transition to the style that followed. This time, the demo material produced when the band was a trio (with Mike Dean doubling as vocalist) was added to the album and released as an album. The difference between the two can be felt clearly.
