:
Born in Russia, Elena Gaponenko was already known as a “cello and piano prodigy” at the age of four. Immediately trained to the highest level, she performed with the orchestra at the age of 9. After the Central Conservatory of the Moscow Conservatory, she studied in Germany and the Netherlands. He won prizes for both piano and cello, and in 2014 he recorded a performance on the GENUIN label in which he manipulated two instruments. It too has been greeted with surprise. The new album consists of two CDs, CD 1 is for piano and CD 2 is for cello, with an elaborate selection of music, basically the composer’s “Op. 8” chosen. It is an interesting 2-CD set with a variety of elements.Naxos Japan
