This is a piece of harp music featuring works by four artists from the Baroque period. Although they never actually wrote music for harp, this does not mean that there was no repertoire for harp during this period. In this album, the excellent harpist Flora Papadopoulos explores various studies and information under the assumption that “if they had written works for harp,” she would have arranged and performed for harp violin pieces, an instrument with similar idiomatic characteristics to the harp. This gives a different nuance to the tone and adds a beauty to the original work that is unique to the sound of the harp.Naxos Japan
