This is a live recording from Nice in 1969, when American vibraphonist Gary Burton was leading the way in pioneering a new sound of “jazz rock” with a rock guitarist in the band. This is a particularly interesting album, as it is the only one with David Prichard on guitar. This is the only album with David Prichard on guitar, and is a live recording of the band’s energetic live performances of well-known songs from their studio recordings.
