Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, pianist Lazaridis (1978-) plays Schumann. 1978-born Lazaridis began composing at the age of four, and by the time he was six he was a child prodigy, appearing on television and radio broadcasts and gaining attention, and since then has been active around the world. He has recorded Schubert and Liszt, but this Schumann, recorded at the age of 24, is a wonderful fusion of youthful sensitivity and high technical skill.
