Commemorating the 25th anniversary of Herbert von Karajan’s death (as of 2014), the first release of the Karajan Masterpieces 1600: “The Symphonies and Orchestral Works Karajan Loved. Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World”, which he recorded five times from the beginning of his career to his later years. This album contains the third recording he made with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 1964.
