Hilary Hahn, the most popular and talented American violinist, presents a new album of violin sonatas by Charles Ives (1874-1954), who is regarded as a pioneer of contemporary American music. This is the first chamber music album by Hilary Hahn in a long time, and is a long-awaited album for fans of Ives’ violin sonatas, which were performed on his Japan tour in January 2009 (No. 1, No. 2, and No. 4) and on his Japan tour in March 2011 (No. 4), which was cancelled due to the earthquake disaster.
