Jessica (from Ngatari) and Scott Herren (a.k.a. Prefuse73) have launched “RE-CLASSIC STUDIES,” a new project to revitalize classical music. The first project is a translation of songs by Gabriel Fauré, a 19th century French composer, into contemporary music. Mizuha Nakagawa, the first Japanese to release a George Crumb recording, was invited as pianist, and Scott Herren joined her for “RE-FAURE”. Fauré’s “songs” with beautiful harmony and fluid melody were carefully polished by singer Jessica, and “modern classical music” was born.
