Bernstein’s “West Side Story” by French sister duo Katia and Marielle Lavec. Arranged by Irwin Kostal, orchestrator of Broadway musicals and one of America’s leading musical and film music arrangers of the 20th century, he also orchestrated the Broadway and film versions of “West Side Story”. He is also known for orchestrating “West Side Story – Symphonic Dances” with Sid Ramin. Costal’s skillful arrangement of this song, which he knows so well, boasts a high degree of perfection, as if the original were this orchestration.
