[Kenny Burrell’s 90th Anniversary SHM-CD Collection] Celebrating the 90th anniversary of the birth of Kenny Burrell, a modern jazz guitarist with an urban and sophisticated blues feeling who has many fans, we are reissuing his classic and rare recordings from his heyday in the 1950s and 60s. This is the final work in the Verve. Backed by an orchestra arranged by Johnny Pate, it consists of an ambitious suite of city blues songs about the hustle and bustle and loneliness of the big city, as well as lively covers of pop hits of the time. This is the first SHM-CD release.
