Formed in 2005, Ky has consistently interpreted Erik Satie’s music in their own unique way and developed their own sound world. Ky [Ky] has been playing Eric Satie’s music with saxophone, guitar, metal clarinet, and oud. The new album will feature guest double bass and drums, and will be a full-fledged rhythmic and ambient work. Starting with Satie’s masterpiece “Gymnopedie,” the album consists of 7 pieces, from minor “Sports and Distractions,” “Hanging,” “Yachting,” and the improvisation CYRCLES. The title of the album, CYRCLES, is a coined word, but it is rich in humor and irony, as is typical of Satie. The album is a mysterious sound world that cannot be described as jazz or classical.Ky:Maki Nakano Maki Nakano (a.sax, metal clarinet)Yann Pittard Yann Pittard (g, oud, fx)Featuring:Nicolas Pfeiffer Nicolas Pfeiffer (doubele bass)Mogan Cornebert Mogan Cornebert (drums)
