Los Angeles is a melting pot of races. It is a city of ambitions and creative dreams. The Los Angeles Percussion Quartet has released ambitious albums in the past, and this one features original compositions by five composers. Bjarnason’s “Qui Tollis” is an impressive piece with an explosive bass drum roar. Solvaldsdottir’s “Aura,” which skillfully incorporates natural scenery into its sound, is a sand storm and wind chimes. McIntosh’s “I Hold the Lion’s Paw = I Hold the Lion’s Paw” dramatically changes the sound like a full-length novel. The rare and unusual sound of Selone’s “Memory Palace” with its nostalgic guitar melody and Ride’s “Fear=Release” with its metallic sound like the sparkle of gemstones, are all presented in high sound quality with great power and intensity.Naxos Japan
