Slowdown Records’ Merzbau Archive Series started in 2018, and this box is the eighth release in the series! This box, “Laptop Noise,” contains six works recorded in 1999, when Merzbau stopped creating with analog equipment and started working with computers: “Wa,” “Mighty Ace,” “Tenshinkaku,” “Tentacle (1st Mix),” “Process 9611,” Necro 2000″ are included in this collection. Since Merzbau’s creative process continued to focus mainly on computers for some time afterwards, the recordings from this period represent the very beginning of his style, and his trial and error in various aspects is reflected in the primitive swing in the direction of his performance.
