Description
To celebrate three decades of sonic inquiry, Dopplereffekt present Metasymmetry, their first release for Tresor. The duo of Rudolf Klorzeiger and To-Nhan continue their study of order, pattern, and perception through a four-part suite that examines symmetry as both sound and philosophy.
In physics, metasymmetry describes not just balance within systems, but the rules that connect those systems — a harmony of relationships rather than forms. Reflecting this idea, each side of the record pairs two contrasting pieces: one sharply rhythmic and architectural, the other vaporous and dissolving. Together, they trace a cycle between precision and suspension, density and diffusion, structure and space.
Despite a long-standing association with Tresor and its Berlin legacy, Metasymmetry marks Dopplereffekt’s first official release for the label. It stands as both a continuation and reflection — a mirror within a mirror — revealing the project’s ongoing fascination with science, abstraction, and electronic form in perfect equilibrium.
