For further challenge! An ambitious work that also includes an arrangement of a Beethoven symphony. Born to a Japanese father and a Hungarian mother, pianist Miyushi Kaneko moved to Hungary by himself at the age of 6 to study, and in 2019 he made a big splash in the movie “Honeybee and Thunder,” playing the piano for Masaru, who plays the semi-leading role. And in 2021, he will celebrate the 10th anniversary of his debut in Japan, and will hold a 10th anniversary recital at Suntory Hall on Saturday, March 5, 2022. This album includes a special piano version of “Freude” arranged by Miyushi Kaneko from the 4th movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, which was arranged by Liszt. Freude” will be performed for the first time in March at the recital commemorating the 10th anniversary of his debut in Japan. Also included are “Ave Maria” by Schubert (arranged by Liszt), “Ave Verum Corpus” by Mozart (arranged by Liszt), and J.S. Bach’s “Aria on the G string” arranged by Kaneko, which are well-known and loved around the world. (C)RS
