[J-FUSION 40th ANNIVERSARY SHM-CD COLLECTION 1300] J-FUSION’s 40th Anniversary! The year 2017 marks the 40th anniversary of Naoya Matsuoka’s debut, the 40th anniversary of Prism’s debut, and the 40th anniversary of the formation of Cassiopeia, and WMJ is taking advantage of this timing to re-release the entire J-FUSION catalog for four consecutive months at a low price of 1,300 yen (excluding tax) on high-quality SHM-CD! This is a concept work with “summer” as its theme, with everything from the album title to the song titles being in Japanese. (The twin guitar battle between Hideo Saito and Hiroshi Imaizumi, and Getao Takahashi’s strong bass guitar, make this a tight and groovy album. The drums by Tokushi Hirose beat tightly and groovily, and the piano by the energetic Naoya Matsuoka…. An ambitious work with a less Latin flavor and more rock. If the previous studio album was “Summer Sea,” this album is “Summer in My Hometown as a Boy,” with effective sound effects such as cicadas and the sound of running buses, and a story that runs through the entire album expressed by the string interludes. The cover, with its Japanese taste and fresh illustrations by Mikio Okamoto, is also excellent. Members: NAOYA MATSUOKA(key), GETAO TAKAHASHI(b), HIDEO SAITO(g), HIROSHI IMAIZUMI(g), HIROMICHI TSUGAKI(key), NORIYUKI HIROSE(ds), TOMOHIRO YAHIRO(perc), JOE KATO GROUP(strings)
