Description
:
A solo project started in 2014 by saxophonist Nonoko Yoshida, who has been working in New York since 2006. The songs, which are recorded live using a looper for live performances, were recorded in the studio. This album is filled with personal emotions unique to a solo performance, based on themes of her own experiences and thoughts about her family, and includes noisy, freaky improvisational expressions inherited from her teachers John Zorn and Ned Rosenberg, as well as composed lyrical harmonies and melodies, both as a one-person ensemble and as a fully improvised soloist. 7 songs in total.
