With the MINIPRE, RESTEK have created the ideal small preamplifier for music playback.
This is the younger brother of the highly acclaimed MPRE+ and forms the central control in a hi-fi system assembled from the same DNA as the high end components of the M series.
The pre switches between the source devices and adjusts the volume of the music between these sources by amplifying or mitigating its input sensitivity.
Another possible function, the interposition of different sound-changing filters, was deliberately omitted in the MINIPRE. Instead, the preamplifier of the M series was completely bred for the highest possible reproduction quality and sound neutrality.
An adjustment to the acoustic conditions of the listening room is only possible to a limited extent with the help of tone controls on the preamplifier. With quality components, tone control is more detrimental than beneficial in the vast majority of listening environments.
The MINI of the M series has four high-level inputs. The input sensitivity of each selected input can be adjusted within a range of +/- 6 dB to compensate for volume differences when switching between individual inputs. Using the volume control, the signal can be attenuated by up to -95 dB or amplified by up to +10 dB.
All parts of the electronics of the MINIPRE preamplifier are DC-coupled, which makes it possible to transmit even the lowest frequencies in the very highest quality.
This means that the signals are also transmitted without distortion and phase-locked in the lower frequency spectrum.
There are no capacitors or electrolytic capacitors in the signal path that could cause distortion. Noise and crosstalk are below the threshold of audibility.
The RESTEK MINIPRE hi-fi preamp has the same modern and puristic design as all devices in the M series and all functions can be operated with just one rotary push-button.
