The latest work by up-and-coming composer Ryan Teague! A totally contemporary algorithmic sound architecture. Ryan Teague is an up-and-coming composer and multi-instrumentalist from Bristol, UK. This is his seventh new album, three years since his last album “Site Specific”, which challenged the electronic band sound with minimal jazz. Influenced by the Japanese concepts of “ma” and “enso”, “Recursive Iterations” combines cinematic arrangements and cutting-edge sound design within an algorithmic framework, post-classical and post-rave, The result is a totally contemporary soundscape that is harmonized by the architecturally calculated use of space and restraint. Musical structures generated by a custom-made algorithmic system that sequences harmonic and rhythmic events in ever-changing patterns.Electro-acoustic phrases and synthesizer digital fragments are frequently rotated, and close proximity in the sequence allows for restructuring, recontextualization, and development of the composition. Thrilling and even intoxicating, this is the cutting edge of electronic music.
