The work of Sarah Davachi (b. Canada) is concerned with the close intricacies of intimate aural space, utilizing extended durations and simple harmonic structures that emphasize subtle variations in texture, overtone complexity, psychoacoustic phenomena, temperament and intonation.

Influenced by minimalist tenets, baroque chordal suspensions and experimental production practices, her sound creates an experience that blurs the lines between consonance and dissonance.

Late Music are pleased to offer a triad of official reissues for Davachi’s seminal albums 2015-2018.

‘All My Circles Run’ is the acclaimed 2017 LP, originally released in a small run of vinyl on the Cincinnati-based Students Of Decay label. Featuring a suite of extended pieces for strings, voice, organ and piano, it is said to hover “somewhere between the conscious and the unconscious, barely there and indisputably present” – Pitchfork. Pressed onto black vinyl.

Sarah Davachi’s 2015 debut LP, ‘Barons Court’, is a series of extended electroacoustic solo and chamber works, performed by Davachi and a cast of players from the San Francisco Bay Area, recorded across Canada, California and Europe. Pressed onto white vinyl.

‘Let Night Come On Bells End The Day’ is Davachi’s fifth album, released in 2018. Number 6 in The Wire magazine’s Top 50 releases of that year. Comprising a collection of hours for the evening with mellotron, electric organ, piano and synthesizer. Pressed onto yellow vinyl.
