Having been rejected by his publishers following the failure of his previous work, Dickens sets about writing his new festive story in a hectic six-week period, combining real-life experiences with his vivid imagination to create a Christmas tale which could stand the test of time and become a family favourite for years to come. The cast also includes Jonathan Pryce, Miriam Margolyes and Donald Sumpter.
