MQACD” is a new specification called “Hi-Res CD” that has become a hot topic in reissues by prestigious labels. The mastering process allows for the storage of high-resolution data at 96 kHz or higher, which could not be stored on a conventional CD, and when played on MQA-compatible equipment, the data is extracted and can be listened to as a high-resolution sound source. The data can also be played on an ordinary CD player, and even in this case, the sound is clear and blur-free, which is a characteristic of MQA. Producer Yasukuni Terashima fell in love with the MQA sound quality. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Jazz Bar series, the best of Terashima’s recordings, which were also well received on the 10th anniversary, are now available in a special set.
