This is a recording of Telemann’s quartets performed by Ventus Iucundus, an ancient music ensemble formed in 2009. The quartet is not a set of instruments, but rather a group of flutes, oboes, violins, and other instruments that serve as soloists in turn, with bass players added to the quartet, and it is a real test of the players’ abilities. The ensemble is truly intimate and shows us the joys of the work.Naxos Japan
