[The Art of Schneiderhan: Encore Press/Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Schneiderhan’s birth] This encore pressing commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Wolfgang Schneiderhan (1915.5.28-2002.5.18), the great master whose most prestigious performances are still performed today. This album is a collection of popular small pieces compiled mainly from a collection of small pieces released on four 45rpm EP discs in Germany at the end of the 1950s. As is typical of Schneiderhan, he is sincere in his works, and his unique expression is carried through. Later, in the stereo era, he did not record such small pieces, so this is a valuable record.
