The preceding single is already so famous that it has become a hot topic! The latest Bibio album is now on sale, with a sound rich in scenery that gently touches the heart! Stephen Wilkinson, aka Bibio, composes, writes lyrics, sings, and plays almost all instruments himself. The album incorporates a lot of folk music from the 60s and 70s, especially acid folk from England and Ireland, and dreamy harmonies from the West Coast of the U.S., which Bibio himself says is a big influence, while also incorporating a lot of Dyla and Madlib, whom he admires. On the other hand, there are also glimpses of homages to soul music such as Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Sharp, sampled by the beloved J. Dilla and Madlib, among others. This time, he also tried his hand at mandolin and violin, and the ethnic melodies that emerged from these instruments add a new expression to the music. The domestic version includes the bonus track “Violet” and a commentary with bilingual lyrics and self-liner notes by the artist himself.
