This is the first new album in 5 years (8 years in Japan) from Running Wild, a band that gained popularity during the golden age of German metal, led by Halloween, and continues to be active today. The current lineup consists of Rockne Rolf (Vo, G), Peter Jordan (G, has played in Japan as a support guitarist for Fair Warning), Ole Hempelmann (B, ex-Thunderhead), and Michael Walpers (Ds, ex-Soul Doctor). The band’s brave, straightforward, yet catchy and melodic power metal sound, played with the image of pirates, remains unchanged. This is a work that has the power to turn the attention of long-time fans who have not purchased a new album for a long time. I think this is Running Wild’s best work yet,” says Rock’n’Rolf of the album, “We had some extra time on lockdown and used it to fine-tune the details of the new album. I’ve never been more satisfied with a Running Wild album,” he says. The bonus tracks are all from the EP Crossing the Blaze (not released in Japan), which will be released in 2019.Among them, “Strutter” is a cover of Kiss.
