Backed by the hard-hitting Nuclear Soul System, Xmas Done Got Funky was originally issued on Jules’ Jim Gem label before vanishing into obscurity as disco took hold. Over the years it became a holy grail for collectors, later inspiring Sharon Jones’ own holiday set. Now revived by Numero Group, this explosive seasonal oddity swaps ‘Silent Night’ for something altogether rawer, sharper, and funkier.
